The airline Finnair has temporarily suspended flights of eight Airbus A321 aircraft due to an unusual safety issue. The seat covers were cleaned using a 'water washing' method that does not meet fire protection standards. This situation has affected approximately 10,000 passengers between October 13 and 21, and the company has warned that delays, schedule changes, and cancellations may occur.
Finnair stated that passenger safety is a priority and that it will implement daily changes to the type of aircraft used, including partnerships with other companies. Affected passengers will be contacted directly, and the company expresses its regret for the inconvenience caused.
