France has launched an investigation after approximately 50 masked men gathered on Sunday evening on Ménilmontant Boulevard in Paris, chanting identity slogans and performing Nazi salutes.

The participants used smoke bombs and shouted "Justice for Quentin!", a case that has generated recent controversy. Upon the arrival of the police, the crowd dispersed quickly, leaving no injuries or damage behind, and no one was arrested.

An anonymous tip alerted the police about possible violence against ethnic minorities, which led to increased patrols in the area. The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation to identify the participants and examine possible crimes related to discrimination. A day after the gathering, swastikas and threatening messages were discovered on the Statue of the Republic, leading to the opening of an additional investigation. So far, there is no evidence linking these acts of vandalism to the gathering on Ménilmontant Boulevard.
