The warning, issued by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), comes in the wake of increasingly stringent blockades imposed by Israel, which have led to a situation where "worst-case scenarios of famine are now materializing". It follows a strong international reaction to images of starving children in Gaza.
