On Sunday, the southwestern Iranian city of Bushehr was rocked by powerful explosions, with state media suggesting that Israel may have carried out attacks in the area. Although it has not been confirmed whether the Bushehr nuclear power plant was targeted, it is Iran's only operational plant and a strategic point in the Persian Gulf. The IAEA director warned that an attack on the plant could cause a massive release of radioactivity. Also on Sunday, Israeli rockets also hit two military sites in Yazd.
