Eurovision has announced significant changes to the voting and promotion rules in response to the controversies generated by the result obtained by Israel at this year's edition. Following concerns expressed by several countries, fans will now be able to cast only 10 votes, down from 20 previously, and juries will be reintroduced in the semifinals. Additionally, organizers will prohibit contestants and television stations from participating in promotional campaigns organized by foreign entities, including governments.

Eurovision Director Martin Green emphasized that these measures are intended to ensure the impartiality of the contest and to prevent disproportionate promotion. Israel's participation has also been contested by certain countries, which have threatened to boycott, and discussions regarding its participation will continue in December. Green reaffirmed the importance of keeping geopolitics away from the stage, emphasizing that Eurovision must remain a celebration of music and unity.
