A coalition made up of 20 application developers and consumer protection organizations has urged the European Union to intervene against Apple, accusing the company of having a tax policy that disadvantages European firms compared to American rivals.

They argue that the current structure of commissions imposed by Apple violates the Digital Markets Act, which requires large platforms to allow external payments without additional costs.
