Europe's rearmament process is manifesting itself in a significant expansion of arms factories, with satellite radar data showing an almost fourfold increase in the area of construction. This expansion is fueled by the need for independence in arms production amid the withdrawal of US support. About a third of the sites surveyed show signs of construction, suggesting a major shift in the defense industry from just-in-time production to robust industrial capacity. Projects such as that between Rheinmetall and N7 Holding in Hungary highlight this trend.
