Following the summit in Chisinau, President Maia Sandu announced that the European Union will invest €1.9 billion in Moldova to modernize roads, education and the economy. The funds will be used to repair 200 km of roads, renovate schools, support entrepreneurs and help young people in strategic areas. It will also implement energy efficiency projects and modernize the rail infrastructure with Romania. Roaming charges will be abolished by 2025.
