Andrius Kubilius, the EU defense commissioner, stresses the need for Europe to develop a drone army to defend against possible Russian attacks. With the invasion of Ukraine highlighting the effectiveness of drones in warfare, he says Europe would need to produce millions of drones to counter Russian forces, which already have significant drone capabilities. Kubilius also says it is essential to learn from Ukraine's experiences and invest in the development of an innovative defense industry to meet current challenges.
