Erdogan said that with Trump's return to the White House, relations between Turkey and the US are improving and Ankara could receive the F-35 jets following a deal. Turkey was excluded from the program in 2019 because of its purchase of the S-400 system from Russia, but US officials suggest sanctions could be lifted by the end of the year. Erdogan emphasizes the importance of this issue not only from the perspective of military technology, but also NATO partnership.
