On Friday evening, the United Kingdom issued an emergency alert to residents' phones due to the spread of wildfires in several regions. The British government announced that this is the most extensive use of the national alert system for an ongoing incident.

Since the beginning of the year, over 1,000 wildfires have been reported. The alert, sent at 7:00 PM, urges people to avoid activities that could cause fire, such as barbecues and campfires. First Secretary Louise Haigh emphasized the high risk of fires, and the measures are intended to protect the population and properties.

Recently, a fire destroyed 19 homes in Stourbridge. The government will send 100 soldiers to the affected areas, and the Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham, has called for military intervention and a ban on single-use barbecues.

The Prime Minister intends to use planes for firefighting, similar to those in other countries.
