In 2025, Egypt recorded a remarkable tourism performance, receiving nearly 19 million tourists, which represents a new record and a 21% increase compared to the previous year. The Ministry of Tourism emphasized that this success reflects Egypt's strength as a tourist destination on an international level. Estimates for 2026 show an anticipated number of approximately 18.6 million tourists, with an estimated annual growth of 5.8% and revenues of approximately 19 billion dollars by 2029. Minister Sherif Fathy highlighted Egypt's competitiveness, which exceeds the global average growth rate of 5%. The airports in Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Marsa Alam were the most frequented, demonstrating the diversity of the tourism offer. These results align with an economic reform plan focused on tourism, in the context of improving security and the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
