An Ebola outbreak has been reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with at least 100 deaths and over 390 suspected cases, according to statements by Jean Kaseya, the director of the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. He emphasized the importance of adhering to public health measures, especially during the burial of the victims.

The epidemic is caused by the Bundibugyo strain, and the World Health Organization has declared it an international emergency. Additionally, two cases and one death have been confirmed in Uganda, including an American doctor who will be transported to Germany for treatment. It is estimated that at least six Americans have been exposed to the Ebola virus during this outbreak. Authorities emphasize the lack of approved medications or vaccines, highlighting the need for preventive measures.
