The first earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.3, occurred at 9:27:58, having its epicenter 7 kilometers southwest of Russi, at a depth of 23 kilometers. Just a few minutes later, at 9:29:17, a second earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.1, was felt, having its epicenter 8 kilometers east of Faenza, at a depth of 22 kilometers. In the city of Forlì, hundreds of people took to the streets out of fear, and all public buildings were evacuated to allow safety checks to be carried out by firefighters. Although the earthquakes caused panic, no material damage has been reported so far.
