After negotiations with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Trump agreed to postpone tariffs on Canadian imports in exchange for commitments from Canada on border security and fighting fentanyl smuggling. Trudeau announced that Canada would invest $200 million to support a new directive on organized crime and fentanyl.
