Donald Trump has extended a formal invitation to Pope Leo XIV for a visit to the White House, spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt announced. The letter was delivered by Vice President J.D. Vance, who had a productive meeting with the pontiff. Trump expressed his hope to meet the Pope in Washington as soon as possible.
