The decree signed by Trump comes in reaction to a South African law that authorizes the government to decide expropriations without compensation under certain conditions. Trump also cited South Africa's accusation of genocide against Israel, as well as strengthening relations with Iran. South African-born billionaire Elon Musk claimed his country has 'clearly racist property laws'.
