Dominique Pelicot, sentenced to 20 years in prison for the rape of his ex-wife, Gisèle, is now under investigation for two unsolved cases: a rape and a murder. In the summer of 2025, he was evaluated by a psychologist at the request of the Cold Case department in Nanterre, where he discussed his responsibility in these cases. Pelicot partially admitted to the attempted rape of a young woman but minimized the seriousness of the act, claiming that he did not intend to harm her. He also denies involvement in the murder of Sophie Narme, despite similarities in the modus operandi. His lawyer has requested the exhumation of Sophie’s body to check for DNA. The psychologist concluded that Pelicot is lacking in empathy and constantly minimizes his actions. Currently, no new hearings are scheduled in his case.
