On July 1, 2025, Denmark will take over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union under the motto "A strong Europe in a changing world". Presidency priorities include ensuring European security, strengthening the defense industry, managing illegal migration and promoting sustainability. Denmark will work with Poland and Cyprus in a trio presidency, tackling topics such as the EU budget, pharmaceutical rules and environmental regulations. The presidency will organize a street party in Aarhus to mark the start of its term.
