The Danish Foreign Minister stated that Donald Trump remains determined to "conquer" Greenland: "We have not managed to change the position of the USA"

Following the meeting with American officials at the White House, Denmark's Foreign Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, reaffirmed that Denmark will not accept the U.S. intention to purchase Greenland. Although he used a diplomatic tone, Rasmussen acknowledged that no progress has been made in changing President Trump's position. He emphasized the importance of respectful cooperation between the U.S. and Denmark, mentioning that there are no immediate threats from China and Russia, as Trump claims. Rasmussen stated that Greenland is not for sale and that any idea that does not respect Denmark's territorial integrity is unacceptable.
