On Saturday, Paris was hit by several power outages, particularly in areas such as the Galeries Lafayette and the National Assembly buildings, due to an extreme heat wave. The operator Enedis confirmed that the outages were aggravated by a social movement by agents who have been on strike since June 12, demanding improvements in compensation for their accommodation. In total, there have been more than 100 outages and the restoration of power has been delayed by these problems.
