The number of meningitis cases in Kent has decreased to 29, according to health authorities in Great Britain, following an update that includes both confirmed cases and cases still under investigation. Of these, 20 have been confirmed in the laboratory, while the rest are being monitored, after some initial reports were reclassified following further analysis. Two people, a student and a pupil, have died in the context of the outbreak, while health authorities continue to monitor the situation and the vaccination and preventive treatment campaign.
