The Milano Cortina organization stated that the man suffered a heart attack, and the CEO of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, Andrea Varnier, mentioned that available information indicates a natural cause of death. Additionally, the site was not supervised by the government company Simico, and officials in Cortina expressed their condolences for this tragic incident. The Winter Olympics are scheduled between February 6 and 22.
