Mark Zuckerberg announced that his organization, CZI, has acquired the startup EvolutionaryScale, specialized in artificial intelligence for science, and has established Biohub. This new organization will benefit from a tenfold increase in computing capacity by 2028, facilitating projects such as virtual maps of cells and language models for biological reasoning. Zuckerberg emphasized that the investment reflects CZI's commitment to helping scientists heal or prevent diseases, considering recent advances in AI. CZI, founded in 2015 and which has provided over 7 billion dollars in grants, has recently reduced its involvement in education and social initiatives, now focusing on accelerating medical discoveries through large-scale virtual experiments.
