The ICC sent a letter to Tajikistan, highlighting the legal obligation to cooperate with the court and to detain Putin, who is subject to an arrest warrant for the deportation of Ukrainian children. Putin's visit to Dushanbe coincides with regional summits, and he emphasized the contribution of Tajik immigrants to the Russian economy. Tajikistan, a signatory of the Rome Statute, is obliged to cooperate with the ICC, but precedent shows that other states have ignored similar warrants.
