The political formations Coalition for Change, National Movement United and Strong Georgia are targeted by a complaint filed by the Georgian Dream, which considers them a real threat to constitutional order. In the context of the War in Ukraine, the Georgian government has become increasingly authoritarian, leading to a deterioration of relations with the European Union and the freezing of accession negotiations.
Although the Georgian Dream supports the European path of the country, it insists on maintaining close relations with the Russian Federation and upholding Orthodox values. At the same time, several opposition leaders are in prison, and anti-government protests are frequently suppressed. Recently, Parliament passed a law that facilitates the banning of political parties, thus strengthening the government's control over the political scene.
