The military exercises conducted by China around the island of Taiwan will significantly affect air traffic, with over 100,000 travelers and approximately 950 international flights affected on Tuesday, according to Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA). China issued a NOTAM notification, establishing seven temporary danger zones in the Taiwan Strait, prohibiting aircraft access to these areas between 08:00 and 18:00. The CAA announced that 857 international flights and 84 domestic flights will be canceled, affecting 6,000 passengers. Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation condemned China's action as reckless and provocative, emphasizing that the notification was issued just one day in advance, violating international norms.
