China has begun a test journey of the cargo ship Istanbul Bridge on the Northern Sea Route, aiming to establish a regular service between Asia and Europe. This initiative highlights the impact of climate change on geopolitics and international trade. Although the Arctic route could offer shorter transport times, environmental and infrastructure challenges remain. Experts suggest that, although it is currently a seasonal route, in the future, the Arctic could become a viable alternative to traditional routes, but the ecological risks are significant.
