The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a recommendation for Chinese citizens to avoid traveling to Iran and has urged those already in the country to leave as soon as possible, citing an escalation of security risks. This measure comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran.

The Department of Consular Affairs emphasized the importance of the safety of citizens and assured that Chinese embassies and consulates in Iran will provide assistance to those wishing to leave the country. At the same time, the United States has recommended non-essential personnel at the embassy in Jerusalem to leave Israel, in the context of threats of attacks against Iran. These announcements were made following recent discussions between Iran and the United States, seen as a last attempt to avoid military conflict.
