China issued a firm warning on Wednesday, stating that it will "crush" any foreign attempts to intervene in Taiwan, after Japan announced plans to deploy missiles on an island near Taiwan. Peng Qingen, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office in China, emphasized China's will and determination to defend its national sovereignty.

Beijing considers Taiwan an integral part of its territory and does not rule out the use of force to control it. At the same time, the Taiwanese government rejects Beijing's claims, stating that only the Taiwanese people have the right to decide the island's future. Peng added that Japan's deployment of weapons is dangerous and contributes to increasing regional tensions.
