The Chinese government has stated that the trade and agricultural agreements discussed during Donald Trump's visit to Beijing are only preliminary agreements.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the two countries have agreed to create councils for investment and trade, which will negotiate mutual tariff reductions and facilitation for certain agricultural and industrial products. Additionally, Washington and Beijing are trying to resolve several trade disputes related to agri-food exports.

Trump stated that China is expected to purchase up to 200 Boeing airplanes, with the possibility of extending the order to an additional 750 aircraft, as well as large quantities of American agricultural products, including soybeans. However, Chinese authorities have clarified that negotiations are ongoing and that the final documents have not yet been signed, with finalization expected "as soon as possible."
