China is amplifying its military presence and is developing the capability to launch surprise attacks, according to a report from the Ministry of Defense in Taiwan.

In the last five years, Beijing has conducted numerous military exercises around Taiwan, and harassment tactics and hybrid warfare are being used to undermine public confidence in the government. China employs advanced technology, including artificial intelligence and deepfake, to spread disinformation and polarize Taiwanese society.
