China's Cyberspace Administration Authority has held meetings with Nvidia to discuss possible security risks of H20 chips. The investigation was triggered after exports of these chips were restricted but recently resumed with reservations. Chinese officials are concerned the chips' advanced functionalities could be used for espionage purposes. In the US, legislation is being discussed that would impose safeguards on exported AI chips. Nvidia has not yet commented on the investigation.
