Donald Trump announced additional tariffs of 100% on Chinese goods, in response to the restrictions imposed by China on exports of technologies related to rare earths. China accused the U.S. of double standards, emphasizing that American actions severely affect Chinese interests and the atmosphere of trade negotiations. Trump stated that he no longer has reasons to meet with Xi Jinping at the APEC summit scheduled for the end of October.
