Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport canceled approximately 800 flights, leaving 1,000 passengers to spend the night at the airport. In Paris, storm Goretti led to the cancellation of 100 flights at Charles de Gaulle and 40 at Orly, while public transport was suspended due to icy roads. Authorities in France issued alerts for 38 departments due to heavy snowfall. In Poland, schools were closed, and in Bosnia and Serbia, a state of emergency was declared due to power and water outages. In Croatia, passengers were stranded on a train for over 12 hours, and in Hungary, snowfall severely affected transportation. These extreme weather conditions led to road accidents, including five deaths in France.
