The Carrefour Group, Europe's largest retailer, has announced the sale of nine stores in France for around €70 million. These include five hypermarkets, two Carrefour Market, one Carrefour City and one Match store. The transactions will be taken over by retailer Cooperative U and the Intermarche group, but completion is dependent on regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed by 2026. Carrefour has 341 stores in Romania, including hypermarkets and convenience stores.
