Most Canadians would support that joining the EU deserves to be considered.

A recent survey conducted by Spark Advocacy reveals that the majority of Canadians believe that the country's accession to the European Union (EU) is a good idea or worth considering. According to the survey, 25% of respondents see accession as a "good idea," while 58% believe it deserves exploration. Only 17% of Canadians consider it to be a "bad idea." The survey, conducted between March 22 and 26 on a sample of 4,000 people, shows that support for accession is present among liberals, conservatives, social democrats, and nationalists in Quebec. The strongest opposition comes from conservatives, where 33% believe that accession is a bad idea, but even among them, 17% see it as a good idea.

Additionally, 64% of respondents believe that the United Kingdom's exit from the EU was a mistake. Bruce Anderson, strategy director at Spark Advocacy, emphasized that Trump's hostility towards NATO has increased Canadians' desire to reduce the influence of American elections on their country, highlighting that Canada could better address global threats by collaborating with other nations.
