The Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev stated that Bulgaria will not join the 'Coalition of Will', a group of states supporting Ukraine through military and financial assistance, despite a personal invitation received from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. Radev emphasized that the solution to the conflict in Ukraine cannot be found through the continuation of armed confrontations, but through a strong diplomatic mission.

He also mentioned that national security issues are addressed within NATO and the European Union, and Bulgaria actively participates in these formats. His statements highlight the differing approaches within the European Union, where some states promote military aid for Ukraine, while Bulgaria supports a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. This position comes at a time when European leaders are intensely discussing the future support for Ukraine and strengthening the continent's defense capabilities.
