Brussels-Zaventem Airport was completely closed on Tuesday evening, around 8:00 PM, due to the presence of three drones near the terminal. This situation led to the diversion of some planes heading to Brussels airport to other locations in Belgium, such as Liege, Charleroi, or Bruges, but also to external airfields, including Paris and Frankfurt. Other aircraft were forced to remain in the air, waiting for the situation to be clarified. Airport authorities stated that they are investigating the incident and, at present, there are no flights taking off or landing at Brussels-Zaventem.
