A bride was shot dead during her wedding and the groom and a 13-year-old child were wounded. The incident could be linked to drug trafficking.

The attack took place in the village of Goult, near Avignon, when masked attackers opened fire on the bride and groom as they exited the wedding hall. One of the attackers was killed in the exchange of gunfire and the rest went unnoticed. Authorities are investigating the incident and the local mayor was outraged by the violence, pointing out that the village had not had a major incident in 125 years.
