The body of a student from the University of South Florida, Nahida Bristy, was found in Tampa Bay. A suspect has been arrested.

Authorities in Hillsborough County have identified the body found in Tampa Bay as that of Nahida Bristy, a PhD student from Bangladesh, who had recently gone missing. Her remains were discovered in a garbage bag by a fisherman, and identification was made through DNA tests and dental records. The body of her friend, Zamil Limon, was found two days earlier, also in a garbage bag, on a bridge in the area. Hisham Saleh Abugharbeih, Limon's roommate, has been arrested and is charged with two murders. Sheriff Chad Chronister stated that the suspect showed no emotional reactions during the interrogation. Although the students were killed in the same time and place, authorities continue investigations to determine the motives for the crimes.
