The company Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, has announced the launch of an improved version of the New Glenn rocket, named New Glenn 9x4. This rocket will have nine engines on the first stage and four on the second, making it more powerful than the current model. Blue Origin emphasizes that both variants of the rocket will coexist, offering customers diverse options for launching missions, including for mega-constellations of satellites and space explorations. The company has invested billions of dollars and dedicated nearly a decade to the development of New Glenn, which is comparable in height to the Saturn V rocket. The new version promises a larger payload fairing and a greater height compared to the original design, aiming to compete with SpaceX's Falcon rocket fleet and the reusable Starship rocket, which is under development.
