On Wednesday, two employees of a shopping center in Ulm, Germany, were victims of a biting attack, and the condition of one of them, a 25-year-old man, is critical. Another employee, aged 22, suffered minor injuries. The police intervened, firing shots at the alleged perpetrator, a man from Eritrea, who refused to drop his weapon and threatened the officers. He was seriously injured during the incident and is now hospitalized in intensive care. The perpetrator was arrested while trying to flee. So far, the motive for the attack is unknown, but investigators have mentioned that the man had a criminal record for violent offenses and was released from prison last December.
