Azerbaijani authorities have received a fragment of a Pantsir-S1 missile, confirming the hypothesis of an attack on the downed plane in Kazakhstan.

The missile fragment was extracted from the Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190AR that crashed on December 25 in Kazakhstan. It was identified as part of the Russian Pantsir-S1 system by an international expert. The investigation by Kazakhstan found evidence of gunfire mainly on the tail, wing and engine.
