An aviation accident occurred in Beijing, where a small aircraft, Sunward SA60L Aurora, with registration number B-12PP, struck the CITIC Tower. The aircraft, operated by Shuangyue General Aviation Beijing, disintegrated upon impact, and pieces of the plane fell onto the nearby sidewalk. Following the collision, several fires broke out in the eastern entrance area of the building, which was evacuated urgently.
