The Australian government has announced the deployment of a fleet of large underwater attack drones, named "Ghost Shark", as part of a costly $1 billion program. These autonomous drones will be used for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and attack missions, with the first unit scheduled to enter service in January. The contract has been awarded to Anduril Australia, which will build and maintain this equipment.
