An aide to an AfD member has been arrested in Germany on charges of spying for China by providing information about the European Parliament.

The aide, Jian G., is suspected of providing Chinese intelligence services with information about negotiations and decisions in the European Parliament as well as about Chinese opposition figures in Germany. His arrest comes shortly after three German nationals were arrested on charges of collaboration with China's Ministry of State Security.
