Armed incident in Tucson, Arizona: Ten people were injured, including the suspect

An armed incident occurred on Sunday morning in a crowded shopping district in Tucson, Arizona, injuring ten people, including the suspect.

The police were alerted by the sounds of gunfire around 2:00 AM and intervened, encountering the suspect to whom they gave repeated commands before opening fire on him. The suspect was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Nine other people, all adults, were injured before the police arrived and were taken to hospitals in critical condition, most suffering from gunshot wounds.

The incident was triggered by a confrontation between two known groups, and Mayor Regina Romero stated that a shooter acted indiscriminately.
