On Monday, a shooting took place near the city of Mersin, in southern Turkey, resulting in four deaths and eight injuries.
According to news agencies DHA and IHA, the suspect, who is still at large, opened fire in a restaurant, killing the owner and an employee, while injuring several customers at the same time. After the initial attack, the man fled, fatally shooting two other men along the way.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to capture the suspect and clarify the circumstances of the incident. This attack highlights the security issues Turkey faces in the context of armed violence.
