The moderate socialist Antonio José Seguro won the second round of the presidential elections in Portugal on Sunday, clearly defeating his far-right opponent, André Ventura, according to two projections from national television stations based on exit polls. According to the public television station RTP, Seguro was voted for by between 68% and 73% of voters. It is estimated that his opponent, André Ventura, from the far-right party Chega, received between 27% and 32% of the votes cast in the second round of the presidential elections.
